The objective of the essay was to identify the nursing care required by a dog suffering from Heat stroke and how to educate and advice the owners how to start treating their dog and prevent the condition from occurring in the first place. The essay is based on a literature study. Several databases were searched for scientific research to try find answers to the issues. Keywords concerning the subject were used and mixed in different combinations to sort out the suitable studies. The results of the study indicate that the dog should be cooled by the owner directly after detection. The most crucial issue is to reduce the body temperature as quickly as possible or the morbidity will worsen.

This thesis examines whether it is profitable to complement an exhaust ventilation system with an exhaust air heat pump in an apartment block that already has geothermal heat pump, district heating, oil- or biofuel heated system.

The aims of this project were to describe the circumstances around dogs being left alone in cars, to investigate owners? knowledge of the risks associated with leaving dogs in cars and the relevant legislation and, finally, to study how changes in the air temperature and air composition in the car affect the dog. När det gäller omvårdnad av patienter med stroke har sjuksköterskan en central roll och det är viktigt att de omvårdnadsinsatser som ges till patienter med stroke är individuellt anpassade till varje enskild patient. Det finns skillnader mellan kvinnliga och manliga patienter med stroke att ta hänsyn till i rehabiliteringsarbetet. Idag vårdas fler och fler strokepatienter på stroke-enheter i stället för på annan vårdavdelning. En stroke-enhet är en slutenvårdsenhet som tar hand om patienter med stroke, där den specialistinriktade sjukvården drivs av ett multidisciplinärt team.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur personer som har drabbats av stroke upplever sin livskvalitet samt vilka faktorer som associeras med livskvalitet. Designen var en beskrivande litteraturstudie och litteratur söktes i databaserna Medline (via PubMed) och Cinahl. Efter urvalet återstod 15 artiklar som inkluderades i studien. Artiklarna granskades och fyra huvudkategorier kunde utrönas: livskvalitet efter stroke, fysiska, psykiska och sociala faktorer som associeras med livskvalitet. Resultatet visade att personer som har drabbats av stroke ofta uppvisar sänkt livskvalitet.

Därför anser vi att vetenskaplig fakta om ischemisk stroke är en viktig del i vårt kommande yrke som röntgensjuksköterskor. Även hur datortomografi perfusion (DT-perfusion) kan vara behjälplig vid undersökning av ischemisk stroke.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva DT-perfusion och dess betydelse för strokepatienter under och efter trombolys. Metod: Vi har skrivit en litteraturstudie utifrån vår frågeställning.
